The difference between high-speed direct connection spindle and CNC belt spindle:
1. High speed direct connection spindle
Belonging to rigid connection, the POWER output of the motor can fully express the characteristics of the spindle, with high mechanical efficiency. When the spindle moves, the coupling plays an indispensable role. If the coupling is calibrated properly or not, it can affect the accuracy of the spindle movement. If the coupling is not calibrated properly, it will have the following effects on the main spindle: sharp increase in spindle temperature, excessive spindle vibration, excessive spindle deflection, poor machining accuracy, and even spindle burnout. The high-speed direct connection spindle is similar to the joint method of a three-axis motor and a ball screw. The spindle motor is placed above the spindle, and the motor is connected to the spindle through a high rigidity and clearance free coupling device. The rotation of the motor end is transmitted to the spindle through the coupling device, which is called the direct connection spindle.
2. Belt type spindle
The belt type spindle transmits the motion of the spindle motor to the spindle through a belt. Its advantages are that it has less vibration and is easy to assemble compared to gear type spindles. Its disadvantages are high noise at high speeds and difficulty in controlling belt tension.
